Peanut Butter Blossoms (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 36 chocolate Hershey's kisses.
02 - 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda.
03 - 1 1/2 cups regular all-purpose flour.
04 - 1 teaspoon vanilla extract.
05 - 1 large egg, leave it out to get to room temp.
06 - 1/4 teaspoon of salt.
07 - 1/2 cup of packed light brown sugar.
08 - 1/2 cup softened, unsalted butter.
09 - 3/4 cup smooth peanut butter.
10 - 1/2 cup white sugar, with extra to roll the balls in.

# Instructions:

01 - Crank the oven up to 375°F and get your baking sheets ready with parchment.
02 - Blend together the butter, both sugars, and peanut butter until it's fluffy.
03 - Toss in the egg and vanilla extract, mix it all together.
04 - Fold in the flour, salt, and baking soda till it's well combined.
05 - Shape the dough into small balls (about 1 inch), then roll them in sugar.
06 - Pop the sheets in the oven and bake for 8 to 10 minutes, or just until they puff up a bit.
07 - Press a chocolate kiss gently into the center of each cookie while they're still warm.

# Notes:

01 - Go for no-stir peanut butter to avoid separation.
02 - Be sure to measure the flour properly—too much could mess things up.
03 - Freezing the kisses first makes them easier to handle.
04 - Leave the cookies to cool fully before digging in.
