Orange Cream Cheese Loaf (Print Version)

01 - 8 oz cream cheese, softened
02 - ½ cup butter (1 stick), softened
03 - 1 ½ cups granulated sugar
04 - 2 large eggs
05 - 2 ¼ cups all-purpose flour
06 - 1 ½ teaspoons salt
07 - 1 tablespoon baking powder
08 - 1 cup milk
09 - Zest of 1 orange

→ Topping

10 - ¼ cup orange juice

# Instructions:

01 - Preheat oven to 375°F and grease a bread loaf pan.
02 - In a large bowl, cream together the cream cheese and butter. Add sugar and eggs and beat until light and fluffy.
03 - In a small bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt. Once thoroughly combined, slowly add the dry ingredients and milk to the wet ingredients.
04 - Mix orange zest into the batter.
05 - Transfer batter to the prepared loaf pan and bake for 55-60 minutes or until an inserted toothpick comes out clean.
06 - Let the loaf cool for 15 minutes then pour the orange juice over the top. Allow the juice to soak in before slicing.
