In a food processor, combine the dry ingredients with the butter, egg, and yolk until it starts to come together. Move the mix to a floured countertop and gently knead it into a smooth dough.

Place the dough in the fridge for half an hour. At the same time, scoop Nutella in small portions onto parchment and freeze for 20-30 minutes until solid.

Set the oven to 350°F (180°C) and get baking sheets ready with parchment paper. Roll out the dough until it’s about 1/8 inch thick.

Cut out circles about 3½ inches wide. Put a frozen Nutella scoop in the middle of one circle, cover it with another circle that has slits cut in it, seal the edges with a fork, and brush with egg wash.

Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown. You can serve warm or let them cool, dusted with powdered sugar if you like.
