Make-Ahead Salad for Sharing (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Salad

01 - 1 head iceberg lettuce, chopped
02 - 8 ounces frozen peas, thawed and drained
03 - 1 cup Swiss cheese, cut into cubes
04 - 3 green onions, finely chopped
05 - 1/2 cup bacon bits

→ Sauce

06 - 1/2 cup mayonnaise
07 - 1/2 cup miracle whip
08 - 1-2 tablespoons sugar
09 - kosher salt, to taste
10 - freshly ground black pepper, to taste

# Instructions:

01 - In a medium bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, miracle whip, and sugar. Season with kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste.
02 - Smash the stem of the iceberg lettuce on the counter to loosen it, then push it into the lettuce until it releases. Discard the stem, then chop the lettuce and place it in a 9x13-inch baking dish.
03 - Add the thawed and drained peas, cubed Swiss cheese, and chopped green onions to the baking dish with the lettuce. Pour the prepared dressing over the mixture and toss until evenly coated.
04 - Top the salad with bacon bits, then cover with aluminum foil or plastic wrap. Refrigerate until ready to serve.
