Thai Lettuce Wraps with Beef (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Filling

01 - ¾ pound lean ground beef
02 - ½ red onion, minced
03 - 2 cloves garlic, minced
04 - 2 teaspoons fresh ginger, grated
05 - 1 teaspoon chili flakes
06 - 1 teaspoon salt
07 - ½ teaspoon ground black pepper
08 - 1 cup carrots, julienned
09 - ¼ cup green onions, chopped
10 - 2 tablespoons cilantro, chopped
11 - 2 tablespoons sesame seeds

→ Sauce

12 - 2 tablespoons soy sauce
13 - 1 tablespoon sesame oil
14 - 2 teaspoons lime juice
15 - 2 teaspoons brown sugar
16 - 1 head butter lettuce, cleaned and separated

# Instructions:

01 - In a medium bowl, combine ground beef, onion, garlic, ginger, chili flakes, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
02 - In a small bowl, mix soy sauce, sesame oil, lime juice, and brown sugar. Set aside.
03 - Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the meat mixture and cook, stirring continually for about 6-8 minutes until the beef is browned and cooked through.
04 - Add carrots, green onions, cilantro, sesame seeds, and sauce to the skillet. Stir fry everything together for about 3-4 minutes until combined and the sauce begins to reduce.
05 - Remove the filling from heat and set aside. Arrange lettuce leaves on a plate, fill each leaf with the prepared filling, and serve.
06 - Serve the filling and lettuce leaves separately, allowing guests to assemble their own wraps.
