Sausage Bow Tie Dish (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Pasta and Protein

01 - 12 ounces farfalle pasta
02 - 1 pound gentle Italian sausage, skin removed

→ Produce

03 - 1/2 cup chopped onion
04 - 4 cloves garlic, finely chopped
05 - 1 cup tightly packed spinach, sliced into ribbons
06 - Chopped fresh parsley (if you want)

→ Sauce

07 - 28 ounces drained and cut up Italian plum tomatoes
08 - 1 1/2 cups whipping cream
09 - 2 tablespoons virgin olive oil
10 - 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper (if you like heat)

# Instructions:

01 - Get a big pot of water bubbling. Cook the farfalle until done according to box timing, then drain well.
02 - Warm olive oil in wide pan. Break up and cook sausage with hot pepper flakes on medium-high until no pink remains.
03 - Toss onion and garlic in with the cooked meat. Keep cooking until onions get soft.
04 - Pour in tomatoes and whipping cream. Let it bubble gently until it gets thicker, roughly 10 minutes.
05 - Mix in spinach and cook another 3 minutes. Add your drained pasta and stir everything together. Sprinkle with parsley if you'd like.

01 - Works with any kind of Italian sausage (mild, sweet or spicy)
02 - Take sausage out of its casing before you cook it
03 - Tastes great when warmed up the next day
