# Ingredients:

01 - 1/2 teaspoon anise extract.
02 - 1 teaspoon vanilla.
03 - 1/2 teaspoon salt.
04 - 3/4 cup butter, at room temperature.
05 - 1 teaspoon vanilla extract.
06 - 1/2 cup sugar.
07 - 1/2 cup powdered sugar.
08 - 3 teaspoons baking powder.
09 - 3 eggs.
10 - Extra powdered sugar for flattening.
11 - Nonpareil sprinkles.
12 - 2 cups powdered sugar.
13 - 3 cups flour.
14 - 3 tablespoons milk.

# Instructions:

01 - Combine baking powder, salt, and flour in one bowl. Put aside.
02 - Blend softened butter with white sugar and powdered sugar until smooth.
03 - Mix in eggs individually, followed by anise and vanilla.
04 - Gradually add the dry mixture, stirring gently. Avoid overmixing.
05 - Put dough in the fridge and let it chill for about an hour.
06 - Preheat oven to 350°F. Use parchment paper on your baking sheets.
07 - Form dough into small, 1-inch spheres.
08 - Lightly press each dough ball using a glass dipped in powdered sugar.
09 - Put in oven for 8 to 10 minutes until they're fully cooked.
10 - Let the cookies cool entirely before handling.
11 - Mix powdered sugar in a sieve to remove any lumps.
12 - Stir milk and vanilla into the powdered sugar till smooth.
13 - Coat cookie tops in the glaze by dipping them lightly.
14 - Sprinkle decorative toppings on while the glaze is sticky.
15 - Let the glaze firm up completely before storing.
