Set your oven to 325°F (160°C). Take your 9-inch springform pan and lightly grease it. Combine the melted butter with the cookie crumbs, press the mix firmly into the pan's base, and bake for about 8-10 minutes or until faintly golden. Let it cool completely.

Whip the softened cream cheese with sugar until smooth and creamy. Beat in the eggs one at a time until blended. Mix in sour cream and vanilla, then carefully fold in the sprinkles. Don’t overdo it!

Pour the creamy filling atop your prepared crust. Bake for 50-60 minutes—it should slightly jiggle in the middle. Turn the oven off, leave the door partly open, and let it rest there for an hour.

Take the cheesecake out and cool it till it's at room temperature. Then put it in the fridge for at least 4 hours or even overnight.

Right before serving, dollop on whipped cream and sprinkle with extra festive sprinkles if you'd like.
