Beat the butter with sugar until light and fluffy. Drop in eggs one by one, mixing thoroughly each time. Add the vanilla and blend well.

In another bowl, mix all dry stuff together. Add to the butter blend bit by bit, swapping between dry mix and milk, starting and finishing with the dry stuff.

Slowly fold the strawberry chunks into your mix, taking care not to smash them up.

Dump into a greased and floured bread pan. Cook at 350°F for 60-70 minutes. Cover loosely with foil after 40 minutes if browning too fast.

Let it sit in the pan for 10 minutes, then move to a wire rack until totally cool. Sprinkle sugar on top before you serve it.
