Heat cake mix in the microwave for 30 seconds, stir, then heat again for another 30 seconds. Let cool entirely.

Whip cream cheese until creamy, around 2 to 2 ½ minutes. Blend in the cooled cake mix till smooth.

Wrap the mixture tightly and chill in the fridge for at least 2 hours.

Scoop out small portions (1 tablespoon each) and roll into round balls. Set them on a baking tray lined with parchment paper.

Dip each ball into melted candy coatings. Optional: drizzle melted almond bark over the top. Chill until ready to eat.
