Quick Blackened Shrimp (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Spices

01 - ½ teaspoon black pepper
02 - 2 teaspoons brown sugar
03 - 1 teaspoon cumin
04 - 1 teaspoon dried oregano
05 - 1 teaspoon salt
06 - 1 tablespoon paprika
07 - 1 tablespoon chili powder
08 - 1 teaspoon garlic powder

→ Shrimp and Base

09 - 1½ pounds raw shrimp, peeled
10 - 4 minced garlic cloves
11 - 1 tablespoon olive oil

→ Toppings

12 - lime wedges
13 - fresh cilantro, chopped

# Instructions:

01 - Stir together your spices, toss it with shrimp, and leave to soak up the flavors for 30 minutes.
02 - Pop oil in a pan over heat, and cook the shrimp for a couple of minutes on each side.
03 - Throw in garlic, stir for less than a minute, and finish with cilantro and lime on top.

# Notes:

01 - Only 30 seconds per side if shrimp’s already cooked.
02 - Completely defrost shrimp if it’s frozen.
