Snickers Date Bark (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Main Ingredients

01 - ½ teaspoon flaky salt (if you'd like)
02 - ½ cup (60 g) roughly chopped peanuts
03 - ¼ - ½ cup (64 - 128 g) smooth peanut butter, stirred well
04 - 1 teaspoon coconut oil (optional)
05 - 12 oz. (340 g) chocolate chips or chopped chocolate
06 - 20 medjool dates, pitted

# Instructions:

01 - If the dates still have their pits, take those out. Grab some parchment or wax paper and cover a big plate or small baking sheet with it.
02 - Split open the dates down the middle so you can press the sides apart. Lay them flat next to each other on the paper. Put another sheet on top and press down using your hand or the bottom of a cup to squish them into an even surface, filling any gaps.
03 - Put the chocolate and coconut oil (if you're using it) in a microwave-friendly bowl. Heat it for 30 seconds at a time, stirring between each until it’s totally melted, which should take around 2-3 rounds. Set it aside while you finish other steps.
04 - Spread the peanut butter smoothly over the flattened dates. Pour the melted chocolate on top and spread it out evenly. Add the chopped peanuts and a sprinkle of flaky salt (if you're into that).
05 - Move the tray into the fridge for an hour or pop it into the freezer for 20-30 minutes until it’s firm. Once it’s set, use a sharp knife to cut the bark into whatever size or number of pieces you prefer.

# Notes:

01 - A sweet and salty snack made with ingredients that are better for you.
02 - You can make this as date bark or change it up and stuff whole dates instead.
03 - Keep it in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 weeks.
04 - Tastes best when cold, straight out of the fridge.
