01 -
Warm up a medium pan on medium heat and toss in the beef along with the water.
02 -
While cooking, break the beef into super tiny bits so it's nice and fine.
03 -
Carefully get rid of extra water and grease after the beef is cooked.
04 -
Scoop the beef into the slow cooker insert.
05 -
Pour in the ketchup and tomato sauce over the beef in the slow cooker.
06 -
Stir the yellow mustard and Worcestershire sauce in until they're fully mixed.
07 -
Sprinkle in the chili powder, sugar, salt, pepper, and onion powder.
08 -
Mix everything up well so it's all evenly combined.
09 -
Pop the lid on and set the slow cooker to LOW heat.
10 -
Let it cook for 2 to 2 1/2 hours, giving everything time to mingle.
11 -
If possible, stir it now and then while it cooks.
12 -
Test the thickness before serving and add a splash of water if it's too thick.
13 -
Keep it on warm in the slow cooker until you're ready to serve.
14 -
Pack leftovers in a sealed container and pop them into the fridge.
15 -
Reheat small amounts as needed, thinning with a bit of water if it's too thick.
