Spicy Shrimp Fusion Pasta (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Base

01 - 1 lb shrimp, deveined and peeled
02 - 12 ounces of penne pasta
03 - 2 tablespoons olive oil
04 - 2 tablespoons of jerk seasoning, divided

→ Vegetables

05 - 1 yellow bell pepper, sliced into strips
06 - 1 red bell pepper, cut into strips
07 - 1 green bell pepper, chopped into strips
08 - 2 sliced green onions
09 - 3 minced garlic cloves

→ Sauce

10 - 1 cup of thickened cream
11 - 1 cup Parmesan cheese, shredded
12 - 1/2 cup of vegetable or chicken broth
13 - A sprinkle of salt and black pepper
14 - Fresh parsley or cilantro for topping

# Instructions:

01 - Boil penne in salted water just until tender (as directed on package). Drain, then leave aside.
02 - Coat shrimp with 1 spoonful of jerk spice. Fry for 2-3 minutes on each side in oil until they turn pink, then take them out.
03 - Use the same pan to cook bell peppers until soft. Stir in garlic and heat for about a minute longer.
04 - Pour in broth to scrape up pan bits. Mix in cream, Parmesan, and the rest of the jerk spice until smooth.
05 - Stir pasta into the sauce, toss in the shrimp, and finish with green onions and herbs on top.

# Notes:

01 - Feel free to tweak the jerk seasoning to your liking.
02 - Any variety of bell peppers works here.
03 - Vegetable stock can be swapped for chicken stock.
