Seafood Mac Cheese (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Pasta & Seafood

01 - 1 lb shrimp, cleaned and deveined (or a mix of lobster and crab)
02 - 8 oz elbow pasta

→ Sauce Base

03 - 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
04 - 1 tablespoon olive oil
05 - 2 cups whole milk
06 - 1 cup heavy cream
07 - 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour

→ Seasonings

08 - 1 teaspoon onion powder
09 - ½ teaspoon mustard powder
10 - 1 teaspoon garlic powder
11 - Season everything with a pinch of salt and pepper

→ Cheese

12 - 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
13 - ½ cup Parmesan cheese, shredded
14 - 1½ cups sharp cheddar cheese, grated

→ Topping

15 - Optional: ½ cup breadcrumbs
16 - Chop fresh parsley to sprinkle on top before serving

# Instructions:

01 - Follow the directions on the box to boil the macaroni with salted water until it's firm. Drain well and put it to one side.
02 - Warm up olive oil in a big pan over medium heat. Cook shrimp for a couple of minutes per side until they turn pink. Set them aside.
03 - Melt the butter and mix in the flour until it looks golden. Slowly pour in the milk and cream while whisking to keep it smooth and thick. Add cheeses and spices, stirring until it's creamy.
04 - Toss the pasta and shrimp into the cheese mixture. Stir until they're evenly coated.
05 - Spoon everything into a 9x9 greased dish if baking. Sprinkle with breadcrumbs and bake for 15 minutes at 350°F until it looks golden brown. Finish with parsley before eating.
