Loaded Potato Meatloaf Casserole (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Meatloaf

01 - 1.5 pounds ground beef
02 - 1 onion, finely chopped
03 - 2 cloves garlic, minced
04 - 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
05 - 1/4 cup milk
06 - 1 large egg
07 - 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
08 - 1 teaspoon salt
09 - 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
10 - 1/2 cup ketchup

→ Potato Layer

11 - 2 pounds potatoes, peeled and sliced
12 - 1/2 cup sour cream
13 - 1/4 cup milk
14 - 2 tablespoons butter
15 - 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
16 - 1/4 cup chopped green onions
17 - Salt and pepper to taste

# Instructions:

01 - Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
02 - In a bowl, combine ground beef, onion, garlic, breadcrumbs, milk, egg, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Press the mixture into the bottom of a greased baking dish.
03 - Spread ketchup over the top of the meatloaf.
04 - Bake for 25 minutes.
05 - Meanwhile, boil the sliced potatoes until tender, about 15 minutes. Drain and mash with sour cream, milk, and butter. Season with salt and pepper.
06 - Spread the mashed potatoes over the partially cooked meatloaf. Sprinkle with cheddar cheese and green onions.
07 - Return to the oven and bake for another 20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
08 - Let the casserole rest for 10 minutes before serving.
