10 - 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
11 - 2 1/2 cups powdered sugar
12 - 1 egg
13 - 1 lemon, zested

# Instructions:

01 - Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9-inch cake pan or pie dish.
02 - In a large bowl, cream the butter and sugar until smooth. Add in the egg, vanilla extract, lemon zest, and lemon juice.
03 - In a small bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Slowly incorporate the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
04 - Transfer the batter into the prepared cake pan and set aside.
05 - In a medium bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth. Gradually add the powdered sugar until fully combined. Add the egg and lemon zest, mixing until smooth.
06 - Spread the cream layer evenly over the cake batter, covering the top completely. Bake for 38-40 minutes or until the top just begins to brown.
