Jello Christmas Cake (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 1 box of white cake mix, plus listed ingredients.
02 - One 3 oz packet of lime Jello powder.
03 - A single 3 oz packet of cherry Jello powder.
04 - 8 oz container of Cool Whip, softened.
05 - Green and red decorative sprinkles.

# Instructions:

01 - Follow the instructions on the box to mix the cake, making sure measurements are accurate.
02 - Grease a 9x13 pan well, then pour in the prepared batter, evening it out.
03 - As directed on the cake mix box, bake at the listed temperature and time. Cake is done when a toothpick comes out clean.
04 - Cool the cake for about 20 minutes until it's no longer hot but still a bit warm.
05 - Using the end of a wooden spoon or a straw, poke holes evenly all over the top of the cake.
06 - Dissolve lime Jello in 1 cup of hot water, then stir in 1/2 cup of cold water until fully mixed.
07 - Repeat the same steps as the lime Jello using the cherry powder.
08 - Gently pour the lime Jello mixture over half of the cake, letting it seep into the holes.
09 - Slowly pour the cherry Jello mixture over the other side of the cake, making sure it fills the holes too.
10 - Pop the cake in the fridge and leave it for at least 6 hours, or overnight for the best results.
11 - Take the cake out of the fridge and spread the softened Cool Whip evenly over the whole surface.
12 - Sprinkle red and green decorations on top in any fun design you like.
13 - Keep refrigerated until time to eat. Next, cut into squares for serving, wiping the knife each time.
14 - Pack any leftovers in a container and store in the fridge.
