Honey Pepper Mac (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Base

01 - 16 oz curly pasta
02 - 25 oz crispy chicken strips
03 - 5 strips of bacon, cooked and chopped
04 - pepper and salt to your liking
05 - basil leaves, fresh

→ Honey Pepper Sauce

06 - ¾ cup of honey
07 - ¼ teaspoon of cayenne pepper
08 - 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
09 - 3 tbsp soy sauce (low sodium)
10 - 1 lemon, juiced
11 - ¼ cup brown sugar (light)
12 - 1 tbsp vinegar
13 - ¼ cup of pineapple juice

→ Cheese Sauce

14 - 1 stick of butter
15 - ½ cup parmesan cheese, shredded
16 - 2-3 cloves garlic, minced
17 - ¾ cup colby jack cheese, freshly shredded
18 - 1 cup mozzarella cheese, freshly grated
19 - 2 cups heavy whipping cream

# Instructions:

01 - Follow the package instructions to cook your pasta and chicken strips.
02 - Mix all sauce ingredients in a pan, bring to a boil, then let it simmer about 15 minutes till it thickens.
03 - Melt butter along with cream. Slowly add shredded cheeses, then mix in garlic. Adjust flavors with salt and pepper.
04 - Toss cooked pasta with the cheese sauce and bacon. Coat chicken strips in the thickened honey pepper sauce.
05 - Serve it up by layering the sauced chicken over the pasta, topping with basil and any leftover bacon bits.
