01 -
Preheat the oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
02 -
Brown the ground beef and diced onions over medium-high heat until fully cooked, about 8 minutes. Drain any excess grease.
03 -
Return the cooked beef to the pan, sprinkle on the taco seasoning, stir in 3/4 cup water, bring it to a simmer, reduce heat, and simmer until the liquid mostly evaporates, about 5 minutes.
04 -
Line two baking sheets with parchment paper and add a generous layer of tortilla chips to each.
05 -
Spoon half the refried beans onto each tray of chips. Spread evenly as the beans soften from the heat of the oven.
06 -
Spoon half the seasoned ground beef onto each tray of chips.
07 -
Sprinkle shredded cheese over the top of each tray.
08 -
Bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes at 400 degrees Fahrenheit.

Remove the trays from the oven and sprinkle diced tomatoes and sliced green onions over the top.
10 -
Serve immediately while hot.
