In the bottom of a 6-quart slow cooker, combine cream of chicken soup, French onion soup, au jus gravy mix, and water. Stir well.

Place cubed steaks into the gravy mixture and ensure they are well coated.

Cover the slow cooker and cook on low for 6-8 hours.

In a small bowl, whisk together cornstarch and cold water. Stir the mixture into the slow cooker. You can remove the steaks temporarily if needed but return them to the pot once mixed.

Turn the slow cooker to the high setting and cook for an additional 30 minutes until the gravy has thickened. Serve immediately.
