Set your oven to 450°F and lightly coat a muffin tin with cooking spray.

Drop 2-3 tots into each mini cup or 4-5 for bigger ones.

Move to the bottom oven rack and cook for 10 minutes.

Use a well-oiled shot glass to press tots into cups. Let them bake another 15 minutes till golden brown.

Spoon cheese into each cup and melt it in the oven for 4-5 minutes.

Pile on bacon bits, a dollop of sour cream, and the onion slices. Serve hot.
