                Slice the sprouts lengthwise after trimming the stems and pulling off any outer leaves.

                Put the sliced Brussels sprouts in a bowl and cover them with warm water straight from the tap. Wait 15 minutes before draining.

                Get the air fryer ready by setting it to 375°F.

                Once soaked, toss the drained sprouts thoroughly with the oil, salt, pepper, and a sprinkle of red pepper flakes, if you'd like a kick.

                Lay the sprouts in one even layer inside the air fryer basket. Let them cook for 12 minutes at 375°F. Don’t forget to give the basket a shake halfway through cooking.

                Move the crispy sprouts onto a dish and dig in while they're still warm.
