Crispy Onion Rings (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 3 medium yellow onions, sweet.
02 - 2 tablespoons of cornstarch.
03 - 1 full cup of plain flour.
04 - A teaspoon of salt.
05 - A dash (1 tsp) of black pepper.
06 - 3 large, cracked eggs.
07 - Four cups of crunchy panko crumbs.
08 - 3/4 cup of milk.
09 - Non-stick spray (cooking spray).
10 - Optional: parsley, chopped fine, for topping.
11 - A third cup of mayo.
12 - Ketchup – 2 tablespoons.

# Instructions:

01 - Take off the skins and slice onions into rings about 1/4-inch wide. Pull apart the rings.
02 - In three bowls: combine flour, cornstarch, salt, and pepper in one; whisk milk with eggs in another; and have panko in the last one.
03 - Dip each onion ring in the flour mix first, then into the egg blend, and finally coat it with panko. Press on the crumbs to stick well.
04 - Spritz both the air fryer basket and the onion rings with oil spray. Air fry them at 350°F, doing 5 minutes per side.
05 - Blend mayo and ketchup in a small container until smooth.
06 - Add parsley on top if you’d like. Enjoy hot with the dipping sauce.

# Notes:

01 - To keep them warm between batches, set your oven temp to 200°F.
02 - Want thicker rings? Slice onions up to 1/2-inch wide.
