Crispy Air Cheese Sticks (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 8 mozzarella sticks, whole milk or low-fat.
02 - 1 cup panko crumbs.
03 - 1 teaspoon of Italian herbs.
04 - 1/2 teaspoon regular table salt.
05 - 1 large egg, beaten.
06 - Non-stick cooking spray.

# Instructions:

01 - Cover a baking tray with wax paper. In one shallow bowl, whisk the egg well. Combine the breadcrumbs, salt, and seasoning in a different dish.
02 - Coat every mozzarella stick by dipping it in the egg and then rolling it in the breadcrumb mix. Arrange on the wax paper and freeze them for at least 30 minutes to an hour.
03 - Repeat the dipping and rolling process to add another layer. Put them back in the freezer for at least another 30-60 minutes.
04 - Get your air fryer hot—set it to 390°F. Lightly spray both the fryer’s basket and the coated sticks. Cook for 6-8 minutes, until they’re golden and crunchy.
05 - Wait a few moments for them to cool slightly. Enjoy while the cheese is still soft and melty.

# Notes:

01 - For prepping ahead, freeze the coated sticks until solid, then store in a zip-top bag for up to three months.
02 - Cooking straight from frozen? Lower the air fryer to 360°F and cook for 8-10 minutes.
