Creamy Garlic Salmon (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Pan-Seared Salmon

01 - 2 tablespoons olive oil
02 - 4 salmon fillets, skin removed
03 - 1 teaspoon garlic powder
04 - 1 teaspoon salt
05 - 1/2 teaspoon oregano
06 - 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
07 - 2 teaspoons Italian herbs
08 - 1/2 teaspoon chili flakes

→ Rich Cream Sauce

09 - 1/2 tablespoon finely chopped garlic
10 - 3 tablespoons butter, unsalted
11 - 1 cup full-fat cream
12 - 2 tablespoons softened cream cheese
13 - 1/2 cup chicken stock
14 - 1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice
15 - Salt and pepper for seasoning
16 - 1/2 to 3/4 cup freshly grated parmesan (adjust to taste)
17 - 2 tablespoons chopped fresh basil leaves
18 - 1 tablespoon finely chopped parsley

# Instructions:

01 - Spread out the salmon fillets and coat them with olive oil. Sprinkle garlic powder, salt, oregano, pepper, chili flakes, and Italian herbs evenly.
02 - Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat with some oil. Sear the salmon for about 3 minutes on each side until it’s golden and crispy. Lower the heat and cook it thoroughly, then set aside.
03 - Melt butter in the same pan over medium heat, then sauté the garlic for 1-2 minutes to bring out its fragrance.
04 - Pour in the cream, broth, and lemon juice. Let it gently simmer for a few minutes, then stir in the cream cheese and parmesan until the mixture thickens. Sprinkle with salt and pepper as needed.
05 - Mix in the parsley and basil. Add the salmon back to the pan, spoon some sauce on top, and heat for another minute or two before serving.

# Notes:

01 - Quick to make—done in just about 30 minutes
02 - Feel free to toss some cooked onions into the sauce if you’d like
03 - The amount of parmesan can be adjusted to change the sauce’s consistency
