Set the oven to 350°F. Get a 9-inch loaf pan ready.

Stir the butter, milk, and sugar together in a big bowl. Beat in the eggs and bananas.

In a separate bowl, whisk the flour, baking soda, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.

Gently fold the dry mixture into the wet one. Don’t overdo it.

Pour the batter into the prepared pan. Mix the topping sugar and cinnamon, sprinkle it on top, and bake for an hour. Check with a toothpick – it should come out with crumbs, not wet batter.
