Caramel Chocolate Delight (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Chocolate Cake

01 - 3 large egg yolks
02 - 2 large eggs
03 - ¾ cup sour cream
04 - ¾ cup vegetable oil
05 - 1 Tbsp vanilla extract
06 - ¼ cup brown sugar
07 - 1½ cups boiling water
08 - 1 tsp salt
09 - 1 tsp baking soda
10 - ½ Tbsp baking powder
11 - 1¾ cups granulated sugar
12 - 1 cup cocoa powder
13 - 2½ cups all-purpose flour

→ Chocolate Ganache

14 - ⅔ cup heavy cream
15 - 16 oz. milk chocolate, chopped (or 2½ cups chocolate chips)

→ Salted Peanut Caramel Sauce

16 - ½ cup roasted salted peanuts, coarsely chopped
17 - 1 cup water
18 - ½ tsp vanilla extract
19 - ½ cup heavy cream
20 - 1 tsp salt
21 - 2 cups granulated sugar

# Instructions:

01 - Stir cocoa powder with hot water until smooth. Combine wet ingredients with the dry, then pour the mix into three 9-inch pans. Bake at 350°F for around 25-27 minutes.
02 - Heat cream and chocolate in the microwave for 30 seconds at a time, stirring after each. When smooth, leave it alone for 10 minutes to thicken up.
03 - Cook the sugar and water until it turns a deep amber. Slowly mix in cream, then stir in the salt, peanuts, and vanilla for flavor.
04 - Layer the cakes with the ganache and caramel in between. Pour the rest of both on top, letting it spill over the edges.

# Notes:

01 - It’ll thicken more as the caramel cools.
02 - Use a big saucepan for caramel since it’ll bubble up.
