Cheese Spread Pecan Topping (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 1/4 cup of cubed unsalted butter.
02 - 8 ounces of cream cheese, brought to room temp.
03 - 1 teaspoon of Worcestershire sauce.
04 - 2 tablespoons of grated onion.
05 - 1 clove of garlic, minced finely.
06 - 3/4 cup of toasted pecans, chopped small.
07 - 1/2 teaspoon of spicy brown mustard.
08 - 1/4 cup of packed brown sugar.
09 - A variety of sturdy crackers for dipping.

# Instructions:

01 - Mix the cream cheese, grated onion, and minced garlic in a small bowl until smooth. Put the mixture on a plate and shape it into a 6-inch round. Wrap it in plastic, chill for an hour, and let it sit until close to room temp before adding the pecan topping.
02 - Combine the butter, brown sugar, mustard, and Worcestershire in a small pan. Warm over medium heat while stirring until the sugar's melted, about 2-3 minutes. Take it off the heat and toss in the pecans.
03 - Let the topping cool down for a couple of minutes, then pour it over the cream cheese base, letting it run down the sides.
04 - Dig in right away with the crackers on the side.

# Notes:

01 - You can make the cheese base ahead of time.
02 - Pour warm pecans over just before serving it up.
