Cajun Chicken Sloppy Joes (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 1 lb ground chicken
02 - 1 bell pepper, diced
03 - 1 small onion, diced
04 - 2 cloves garlic, minced
05 - 1 can (8 oz) tomato sauce
06 - 1/4 cup ketchup
07 - 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
08 - 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning
09 - 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
10 - Salt and pepper to taste
11 - 4 hamburger buns
12 - 1 tablespoon olive oil
13 - Optional: sliced pickles
14 - Optional: shredded cheese
15 - Optional: coleslaw

# Instructions:

01 - Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add diced bell pepper and onion, cooking until softened, about 3-4 minutes.
02 - Add minced garlic and cook for another minute until fragrant.
03 - Add ground chicken to the skillet, breaking it up with a spoon as it cooks. Cook until no longer pink, about 5-7 minutes.
04 - Stir in tomato sauce, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, Cajun seasoning, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 10 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld.
05 - Toast hamburger buns in a separate skillet or toaster until golden brown.
06 - Spoon the Cajun chicken mixture onto the bottom halves of the buns. Add optional toppings if desired, then place the top halves of the buns on top.
07 - Serve hot and enjoy.

# Notes:

01 - Use sturdy buns like kaiser rolls to prevent sogginess.
02 - Adjust the heat by varying the amount of cayenne pepper in the Cajun seasoning.
