Gooey Butter Cookies (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 1/2 cup powdered sugar, for rolling.
02 - 1/2 cup colorful sprinkles.
03 - 1 box of yellow cake mix.
04 - 1 teaspoon vanilla extract.
05 - 1 large egg, room temp.
06 - 8 ounces softened cream cheese.
07 - 1/2 cup softened butter.

# Instructions:

01 - Set your oven to 350°F and line some baking trays with parchment paper so the dough doesn't stick.
02 - Blend the butter, cream cheese, vanilla, and egg until it's nice and smooth.
03 - Gradually add the cake mix to the wet mixture until thick, then toss in some sprinkles and gently combine.
04 - Pop the dough in the fridge for half an hour to firm up.
05 - Form 1.5-inch dough balls and give them a good roll in powdered sugar.
06 - Space the balls 2 inches apart on your tray and bake for 10-12 minutes until the edges look done but the middle's still soft.

01 - Stick with full-fat cream cheese for best texture.
02 - Good on the counter for up to 3 days.
03 - Store in the freezer for 3 months max.
