Brownie Chow Mix (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Main Mix

01 - 1 box (12.8 oz/362g) of Chocolate Chex® cereal
02 - 8 oz (227g) dark or semi-sweet chopped chocolate

→ Sweet Topping

03 - ⅓ cup (67g) white sugar
04 - ½ cup (100g) light brown sugar, packed tightly
05 - ¼ cup (30g) powdered sugar
06 - ⅓ cup (32g) unsweetened or Dutch cocoa powder

→ Extras

07 - ⅔ cup (126g) chocolate sprinkles

# Instructions:

01 - Put your cereal in a big mixing bowl and keep it aside.
02 - Mix white sugar, brown sugar, and cocoa powder in a small bowl. Set this mixture aside for later.
03 - Put chopped chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave it on high for 20 seconds, then stir. Keep heating in 20-second bursts, stirring each time, until smooth.
04 - Right away, pour the warm chocolate over the cereal and stir gently to coat it completely.
05 - Transfer the cereal into a big container or a resealable bag. Toss in the sprinkles, then close and shake it up until the sprinkles are mixed well.
06 - Pour in the sugar-cocoa blend and shake again until it covers everything. Finally, throw in the powdered sugar and give it one last good shake until all the pieces are coated.
07 - Spread the coated cereal onto a foil or parchment-lined baking sheet to cool. Toss any leftover powder. Keep it in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 7 days.

# Notes:

01 - Rice Chex® or another crisp rice cereal works if you can't get Chocolate Chex®.
02 - Dutch cocoa has a mild flavor compared to traditional unsweetened cocoa.
03 - You can store this snack at room temperature for up to a week.
