Heat your oven to 375°F. Coat a 9x13-inch baking pan with cooking spray, then line the base with parchment paper.

Stir together the flour, melted butter, both sugars, cinnamon, and baking powder. Throw in the eggs and almond extract, and mix it all up thoroughly.

Set aside 1½ cups of the crust mixture to use as a topping. Press what's left into the bottom of the lined pan.

Mix the sugar, cornstarch, and lemon juice in a bowl until smooth. Gently fold in the blackberries, then spread this filling over the crust base.

Scatter the reserved crust mixture over the fruit layer. Bake for about 40 to 45 minutes until nicely golden. Let it cool completely before cutting it into bars.
