Creamy Ground Beef Pasta (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 8 ounces of pasta, uncooked.
02 - 1 can (14 oz) diced tomatoes, with juices.
03 - ¾ cup of thick cream.
04 - 1 pound of ground beef.
05 - 2 tablespoons of tomato paste.
06 - ½ sweet yellow onion, diced.
07 - 1 tablespoon of olive oil.
08 - 1½ teaspoons of finely chopped garlic.
09 - ¼ teaspoon of Italian herb mix.
10 - ½ teaspoon of Dijon mustard.
11 - Season with salt as you like.
12 - Freshly cracked black pepper for taste.
13 - Optional: Grated parmesan cheese for garnish.

# Instructions:

01 - Cook the pasta in salted boiling water following the instructions on the box. Drain when tender yet firm.
02 - On medium-high heat, add olive oil to a big skillet and stir-fry the onion for a few minutes until soft.
03 - Toss in the beef and garlic. Let it brown for about 8 minutes, breaking it apart, and pour out any extra grease.
04 - Throw in the tomatoes, mustard, tomato paste, and mixed herbs. Let it bubble softly for about 4 minutes.
05 - Add the cream and cook another few minutes on low heat until it thickens slightly and warms up.
06 - Toss the pasta with the sauce. Sprinkle with pepper and salt and top with parmesan if you'd like.

01 - You can make it ahead and reheat gently later.
02 - The sauce will thicken more as it cools down.
