Banana Cake Buttercream (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 1/4 cup neutral oil like vegetable or avocado.
02 - 1 cup granulated sugar.
03 - 1 cup powdered sugar.
04 - 1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg.
05 - 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon.
06 - 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract.
07 - 1/2 teaspoon baking soda.
08 - 2 teaspoons vanilla extract.
09 - 1/4 teaspoon baking powder.
10 - 1/4 cup softened butter.
11 - 1/4 cup unsweetened applesauce (plain).
12 - 1 tablespoon heavy cream.
13 - 2 large bananas, mashed up.
14 - 2 eggs.
15 - 1/4 cup chopped walnuts, optional.
16 - 1 1/2 cups flour.
17 - 1/2 teaspoon salt.

# Instructions:

01 - Set the oven to 325° F. Coat an 8x8 pan with nonstick spray and leave it ready for later.
02 - In a big mixing bowl, toss together the flour, spices like cinnamon and nutmeg, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Give it all a quick mix and leave it there.
03 - In another bowl, take your mixer, and blend the sugar, oil, and applesauce. Add in eggs one at a time, along with mashed bananas and vanilla. Mix it lightly until it just comes together.
04 - Add the dry bowl into the wet mixture a little at a time. Stir gently until blended. Pour into your greased pan and bake it for 25–30 minutes. A clean toothpick means it’s done. Let it cool fully.
05 - Melt butter on low heat in a small pot. Once melted, take it off right away and move it to another container. Let it cool at room temperature.
06 - In a small mixing bowl, whip the melted and cooled butter together with powdered sugar, vanilla, and heavy cream until it’s smooth and creamy.
07 - Spread the frosting across the completely cooled cake and, if you want, sprinkle some walnuts on top. Cut into squares and dig in!

# Notes:

01 - Keep it in a sealed container until you're ready.
